It’s well known that European monasteries created and preserved many of the great beer styles that we enjoy today. There’s another tradition, one known only to a select few, of the “lost souls” whose quest for brewing perfection led them away from the religious path. They wandered the earth in an endless quest for the enlightenment of the perfect brew. In their wake, these “lost
souls” left remarkable examples of the brewers art, each reflecting the monastic traditions from which each monk had been exiled and incorporating local ingredients and brewing techniques.

The goal of Lost Souls Beer is to preserve this alternative legacy. There are those who will cry “heresy”. Let them shout. For it is always the dreams of heretics that fuel great transformations in the human landscape.
